Kekerasan Verbal Orang Tua Pada Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

Kekerasan verbal orang tua pada anak usia dini masih kerap terjadi. Orang tua perlu menyadari bahwa penggunaan agresi verbal dalam mendidik anak tidak dibenarkan karena berakibat menghambat perkembangan anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa hasil temuan jurnal yang terkait dengan penyebab, bentuk, dampak dan upaya pencegahan kekerasan verbal anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah studi literatur dengan menggunakan buku dan penelitian terdahulu sebagai sumber data primer maupun sekunder. Hasil dari penelusuran literatur didapatkan bahwa penyebab kekerasan verbal adalah tekanan sosial, pola asuh yang keras, ingin mendisiplinkan anak, rendahnya pemahaman, bahkan stress yang dialami orang tua selama pandemi Covid-19. Selanjutnya, bentuk kekerasan verbal yang sering dialami anak adalah seperti adanya ancaman, ejekan, bentakan, merendahkan, menuduh, mengisolasi, bahkan mengeksploitasi anak. Kekerasan verbal sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan sosial emosional dan kognitif anak. Anak cenderung tertutup, merasa rendah diri, merasa bersalah, kesulitan meregulasi emosi, depresi, timbul keinginan untuk bunuh diri, kerusakan otak seperti gangguan memori dan masalah akademik. Untuk itu diperlukan upaya dalam mencegah kekerasan verbal sedini mungkin yakni adanya pola komunikasi dengan bahasa yang positif dan metode disiplin positif sebagai dasar mendisiplinkan anak tanpa kekerasan.
