DESKRIPSI KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH LANGKAH POLYA SISWA KELAS IX SMPI AL-I’TISHOM
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika bilangan berpangkat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Islam Al-I’tishom. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes sebanyak 3 buah soal uraian kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan materi yang digunakan adalah bilangan pangkat. Teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu observasi, metode tes yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik, dan dokumentasi. Dari 26 peserta didik di kelas IX SMP Islam Al-I’tishom, peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis kategori rendah lebih dominan dengan persentase 84,62% dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah kategori tinggi dengan persentase 7,69% dan kategori sedang dengan persentase 7,69%.
