PENGGUNAAN PENDEKATAN PROBLEM SOLVING PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA

Abstract
Penggunaan Pendekatan Problem Solving Pada
Pembelajaran Matematika dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif
Siswa.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan pendekatan problem solving lebih baik
daripada model pembelajaran konvensional karena dapat meningkatkan kemampuan
berpikir kreatif siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelas
eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dimana nilai rata-rata yang awalnya
sebesar 33,13 meningkat menjadi 74,25. Kemudian dibuktikan juga dengan
dilakukannya analisis terhadap skor gain ternormalisasi (NG) dengan perolehan ratarata sebesar 0,65. Menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil tes kelas eksperimen yang
pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan problem solving lebih tinggi
dibandingkan dengan peningkatan hasil tes kelas kontrol yang pembelajarannya
menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata respon siswa
terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan problem solving sebesar
3,66 yang menunjukkan bahwa respon siswa terhadap pendekatan problem solving
positif.
