MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE INSIDE OUTSIDE CIRCLE
Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuan
komunikasi matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside
Outside Circle. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Populasi
dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten
Cirebon tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Sampel untuk penelitian ini diambil satu kelas
dengan teknik purposive sampling yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model
pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini adalah soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Analisis data
dilakukan terhadap rata-rata postes tiap siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui
bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang
pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside Outside
Circle pada pokok bahasan fungsi.
