Persepsi Orang Tua Terhadap Sekolah Sepakbola Mitra Surabaya
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan standar kualitas Sekolah Sepakbola (SSB) berdasarkan persepsi orang tua agar SSB menjadi wahana aktivitas olahraga utama untuk anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sebanyak 15 orang tua yang dipilih menggunakan accidental sampling, menyatakan bersedia melakukan wawancara terstruktur. Analisis data menggunakan empat tahap yaitu tabulasi data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi/simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga indikator yang menjadi pertimbangan orang tua dalam memilih SSB, yaitu ketertarikan, karakteristik, dan kualitas SSB. Ketertarikan orang tua awalnya dipicu oleh alumnus SSB yang sukses menjadi pemain nasional. Selanjutnya jarak SSB dengan rumah menjadi pertimbangan paling penting karena berhubungan dengan cost and time yang dicurahkan orang tua kepada anak. Karakteristik SSB ditunjukkan oleh popularitas, sarana dan prasarana, pelatih dan pengelola, dan jumlah siswa SSB. Karakteristik tersebut selanjutnya dijadikan sebagai tolok ukur kualitas SSB layak untuk menjadi tempat anak-anak mereka berlatih. Kategori nilai untuk karakteristik SSB yang layak untuk anak mereka minimal adalah baik. Temuan ini penting dijadikan sebagai referensi SSB dalam pengembangan kulitas dan kinerja agar menjadi pilihan utama bagi orang tua dalam memilihkan SSB untuk anak mereka.
